OJO Labs raises $45M

Upon closing a $45 million Series C funding this week, OJO Labs announced it’s going on a 50-person hiring spree for its Austin headquarters and sister office in Minneapolis-St. Paul. The company, which launched in 2015, provides homebuyers with an AI-powered, virtual assistant named OJO that’s available 24/7 to answer questions on listings, financing, neighborhoods and more. March’s funding comes less than a year after the company raised $20.5 million. [Built In Austin]

Reliant ID lands $10.8M in new funding

Reliant ID, the startup behind the recently launched MDBox, raised $10.8 million from 30 investors this week. The company's app connects users with medical professionals who can diagnose individuals from a video conference and prescribe medications all within about 30 minutes from start to finish. Reliant ID did not issue a statement regarding the new funds. [FormDs]

StoryFit secures $1.75M in funding

StoryFit, an Austin startup leveraging AI technology to predict outcomes in the publishing and entertainment industry, secured $1.75 million in funding from ff Venture Capital, Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI), Ascend Venture Capital, angel investor Walt Winshall, Techstars and Capital Factory. The funding will be used to make key hires and expand on its AI analytics solutions. [Press Release]

Message.io brings in $3.7M

Message.io, also known as Mio, raised $3.7 million from two investors this week, according to a filing with the SEC. The startup offers a platform that syncs various messaging apps like Slack, Webex Teams and Microsoft Teams, so that users can communicate across multiple apps seamlessly under one. Magnitude Software secures $179M in funding from 3i Group

PE and investment firm 3i Group announced on Tuesday that it has entered a partnership with Austin-based Magnitude Software that included a $179 million investment for the data management provider. The funding will be used to help Magnitude expand internationally and continue its acquisition strategy. [Press Release]

E-learning platform 360training.com welcomed Andrew Stross as its new chief people officer this week. Stross joins the executive circle with more than 25 years of experience that includes previous roles at Capital One Financial Services and Nationwide Insurance.
