Weekly refresh: FloSports’s $47M funding and Bumble’s new café

FloSports raises $47 million Series C round. The sports streaming service, which has more than 10,000 live events each year, raised its funding at a time of steady growth. With Discovery Inc. leading the round, Flosports plans on using the funding to add more sports leagues to its service. [Built in Austin]

Austin’s Bumble is opening a permanent coffee house in NYC. Calling all the single ladies! The coffee shop will serve coffee during the day and small plates at night. In addition to the opening of a new HQ in Austin in 2020, Bumble plans to expand Bumble Brew to more locations. [Built in Austin]

LiveOak Technologies just raised an $8 million Series A. The company, whose software streamlines workflows for major businesses, will use the funding to bolster its product development efforts as well as international adoption. [Built In Austin]

Q2 Holdings is raising millions in equity and debt funding. According to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Austin-based software company plans to raise $200 million in convertible senior notes. Q2 Holdings also aims to sell 2.15 millions shares of its common stock. The company has raised a total of $101 million in 2014 and reported revenue of $241.1 million for 2018. [Statesman]

Telestax hires two new executives. Patrick Bonnaure joins the team as chief financial officer, responsible for the company’s financial and accounting functions and supporting Telestax’s expansion. Veena Vadgama is now Telestax’s vice president of marketing. With over 20 years of experience in B2B marketing, she will be responsible for the company’s overall marketing strategy.
