Cracking the Coding Interview
The whiteboard coding interview is often (for better or worse) the typical rite of passage most developers have to overcome to land that nice job. If you've never done it before, it can be pretty nerve-racking- you must stand before a whiteboard and solve a programming challenge on the spot before a scrutinizing audience, and without a computer to help you.
The Austin Hispanic Hackers are here to help you overcome the butterflies in your stomach! The best way to ace these interviews is to be cool. confident, and above all:
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!
On March 25, that is exactly what we will do! The difference is that we will practice in a friendly environment, and give you constructive feedback (which you never really get from job interviews).
If you have been to our programming interview practice events in the past, this event will be quite similar.
IF YOU WANT TO BE INTERVIEWED:
• Please RSVP, and leave a comment saying you want to be interviewed.
• Slots for candidates being interviewed will be assigned first-come, first-serve. Leave your comment and reserve your spot now!!
IF YOU WANT TO VOLUNTEER TO ASK INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
Please PM me and I'll give you the details.
If you don't want to do either, you are also welcome to come and be a spectator (please RSVP), and see how these types of interviews typically play out.
