Compensation Manager

The RetailMeNot People team is looking for a Compensation Manager to join us at our awesome headquarters in the heart of downtown Austin. Who You Are

  • You're a forward thinker, insight hunter, and storyteller through data
  • You're a trusted and essential advisor to internal teams in the U.S. and Europe (People, Finance, Legal and functional business team leaders like Engineering, Sales, Marketing)
  • You bring a global and innovative approach along with a keen understanding of how compensation programs should support the talent and financial strategy of the organization and drive business results
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related analytical discipline; CCP or similar professional designation preferred
  • You have spent at least 6 years in compensation or a combination of financial/business analytics and compensation analysis, preferably in the technology industry
  • You possess advanced Excel modeling skills and the ability to dive deep on data analysis or technical issues to identify effective solutions and recommendations
  • You apply high standards and attention to detail in everything you do and are comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM highly preferred
  • Prior experience in benefits administration a plus

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation tools and systems. Evaluate RMN’s current global total rewards programs as well as design and develop new programs which support RMN’s overall strategic objectives and provide a competitive advantage from both a retention and recruitment standpoint
  • Ensure compensation programs are scalable, compliant, reflect our values and are effectively rolled out to the organization. This includes base pay programs, short and long term incentive programs and global salary structures
  • Build relationships with People Partners in US and Europe, the Recruiting Team and leaders to provide day-to-day expert consultation on compensation issues and practices, market benchmark jobs/job families
  • Lead or partner with project teams focusing on key compensation initiatives such as compensation strategy redesign and implementation, market benchmarking, career path/ladder formation, tool development, and the design of short-term and long-term incentive programs
  • Lead the development and management of compensation analytics
  • Partner with the People Team to administer global salary structure framework, semi-annual rewards planning cycle, bonus program structure and payouts, salary increase guidelines and LTIP program
  • Own regulatory and compliance requirements affecting compensation programs (i.e. EEO-1 report, legislative changes) and work with the necessary parties to ensure long term compliance
  • Lead compensation market intelligence by leading the annual survey submissions (Radford and IPAS). Periodically review survey providers to ensure the data we are utilizing is adequate for our industry and allows us to remain competitive from a compensation standpoint
